Chief Joseph Days Rodeo Voted Medium Rodeo of the Year for Two years Running

By Shannon McKone at Elkhorn Media Group – If Eastern Oregon is known for one thing, it’s its dedication to the rodeo scene, and the Chief Joseph Days Rodeo is a testament to this. On October 10, the PRCA Columbia River Circuit officially released its rankings for the 2023 rodeos of the year for the small, medium, and large categories. The Chief Joseph Days Rodeo was officially named the 2023 Medium Rodeo of the year (for the second year running we might add), with the Pendleton Round-up winning the large category (for the second year in a row) and the Coulee City’s Last Stand Rodeo representing the small category. In a social media post, the Chief Joseph Days Rodeo gave a brief statement on their achievement:

“We are very thankful to be voted Medium Rodeo of the Year 2 years in a row! This wouldn’t be possible without our dedicated board members and volunteers who put their blood, sweat, and tears into this rodeo. Thank you to all the contestants, contractors, and others who voted for us.”
