About the Ride

Join us for the Chief Joseph Days Ranch Rodeo Trail Ride, starting at the Harley Tucker Memorial Arena on the CJD Rodeo grounds. From there, we’ll take a leisurely horseback stroll through town to reach the trailhead.

The best part about joining our trail ride event is that you will be able to enjoy a trail that is on pivate property so we will avoid hikers and other trailgoers. This trail runs alongside the breathtaking Wallowa Lake, offering stunning views throughout the journey. With a gentle incline and one small water crossing, the trail is enjoyable and accessible for all riders. The full loop spans approximately 8 miles and typically takes 2–3 hours to complete, bringing everyone back to the CJD Rodeo grounds just in time for dinner and the auction!

We’ll provide water, sodas, and beer for our riders to enjoy along the way. Don’t miss this unique and memorable adventure!
